Program:

  1. Day 1:Florence - Arrival in Florence, the capital of fine art. Depending on the time of arrival, you have the opportunity to discover the surroundings by your own.
  2. Day 2: Highlights of Florence - You will be amazed discovering Florence, an open - air Museum, where to admire its unique secular heritage and breathtaking beauty. Visit the Basilica Santa Maria Novella. A little step further, you will admire the four monuments of the Complex of Santa Maria del Fiore, symbol of Florence in the world, constitutes one single big open air museum located in the main square of Florence, Piazza del Duomo religious, historical and artistic center of the city. The cathedral Santa Maria del Fiore, designed by Arnolfo di Cambio, the third largest church in the world, after St. Peter's in Rome and St. Paul's in London; the Baptistry of San Giovanni, one of the most ancient churches in Florence, sits opposite the city's cathedral; Giotto's bell tower, clad in white, red and green marble like the cathedral adjacent to it, considered to be the most beautiful campanile in Italy. After its visit enjoy some culinary temptations for lunch time. Later drive up the other side of the River Arno to Piazzale Michelangelo to admire Florence magical skyline from above. Florence seen from above is a singular experience. Not just a perfect photo opportunity, but a moment of wonder. The church of San Miniato al Monte is just a few steps further up the square. It is also considered the most beautiful church in Florence. A leisurely stroll through the park down to the Arno and back to the hotel ends the day.
  3. Day 3: Following the steps of the Medici - Discover today the life and works of the Medici family. The Medici was one of the most important Italian dynasties that brought Leo X to the position of Pope and left numerous traces in the city. In the green cloister of Santa Maria Novella Cosimo de’ Medici is glorified. Further visit to the Medici Chapels, part of a monumental complex developed over almost two centuries in close connection with the adjoining church of San Lorenzo, considered the "official" church of the Medici family who lived in the neighboring palace Medici-Riccardi Palace. You cross the old town to the town hall. At the Palazzo Vecchio, there are many memories of the Medici, with exciting stories. Through the Uffizi, whose construction was decisively determined by the Medici, reach Ponte Vecchio, the bridge over the river Arno, the hallmark of this fascinating corner of the city with many jeweler shops. On the other side of the Arno, visit another residence of the Medici family, Palazzo Pitti. Today, the Palazzo houses several museums. One of them was almost the private gallery of the Medici, the Galleria Palatina, while the family lived in the Palazzo Pitti. A tour of the Boboli Garden decides today and gives us time to review the life and work of the family.
  4. Day 4: The Uffizi, an unforgettable experience - Visit the Galleria degli Uffizi, one of the most important museums in the world and the most visited in Italy after the Vatican Museums. Its fame is due to the immense quantity of works of art, thanks to its uninterrupted Renaissance collection. Admire the works of Giotto, Botticelli,Da Vinci and others. In the afternoon you may take the bus to Fiesole and relax in the green hills and enjoy the view from the other side of Florence.     Rome, the eternal city, a beautiful town that boasts centuries of history. In every square, at every fountain, the city tells her story. But Rome is more than just monuments: it is also the bustling capital of Italy with beautiful shops, cozy streets and squares where you can easily discover the Italian lifestyle. Rome has for centuries been one of the most powerful cities in the world. It is therefore a city that speaks to everyone's imagination.
    Program :
  1. Day 1 Rome - Arrival and transfer to Hotel from which you will discover this unique world city. The city's displacements take place by metro, but also with several walks starting at the hotel itself.
  2. Day 2 Rome - Today begins the discovery of the ancient Rome. Everything begins with a visit to the renowned Colosseum and the Roman Forum. Then you will see the Traja Forum and the Roman Capitol, Campidoglio. At Piazza Venezia you’ll have the time to have lunch. The walk continues towards Piazza Navona with some pearls like the monument of Vittorio Emanuele II, Via del Corso and Piazza Colonna. Later visit of the Pantheon, arguably the greatest surviving structure from ancient Rome. Palazzo Madam and finally the Temple of Adrianus, Marcus Aurelius's Column and Palazzo's Chigi with Montecitorio.
  3. Day 3 Rome - Visit of San Giovanni in Laterano, the oldest and certainly the most important basilica of the four Papal basilicas that Rome knows. You would expect the St.Peter's Basilica to be the cathedral of the diocese of Rome. But St. Peter’s Basilica isn’t the official seat of the Pope. It is San Giovanni in Laterano the mother church of the Roman Catholic church. But because of the size of St. Peter’s, and its location next to the residence of the Pope, most of the Church’s most crucial ceremonies are held here instead. Later by metro you reach Piazza Repubblica, after which there is much to be admired, such as the Diocletian's Thermae, the Quirinal, the magnificent Trevi fountain and, of course, the famous Spanish Steps, also known as Scalinata di Trinità dei Monti, Via Condotti, Villa Medici and finally Piazza del Popolo
  4. Day 4 Rome - Today Highlights is the Catholic Rome, Vatican City in other words. Time for visit St. Peter's Square with its stately St. Peter's Basilica. Later visit to the Vatican Museums and the Sistine Chapel to admire Michelangelo's masterpiece. The Vatican is actually a mini-state within the city of Rome. Further visit of Castel Sant’Angelo.
  5. Day 5 Rome - Depending on the departure time of the return flight, there is also the Circus Maximus on the program plus an extra walk along the Tiber to Isola Tiberina,passing the Ponto Rotto and the Bocca della Verità, then transfer back to the airport.

Discover Verona and Venice

    This tour of Lake Garda, Venice and Verona takes in some of Italy’s most spectacular landscapes, artworks and architectural marvels. Highlights include picturesque lakeside resorts like Malcesine and Riva del Garda, the jaw-dropping Venetian grandeur of St Mark’s Basilica and the original Verona balcony where Shakespeare’s Juliet called out to Romeo. You will visit the tranquil harbours of Garda, such as Sirmione, with its olive groves and vineyards in the foothills of snow-capped alps. Verona, in the Italian region of Veneto, is a very nice city, famous for Romeo & Julia and for its .preserved Roman amphitheatre, the Arena di Verona, where opera is performed all summer long.

  1. Day 1 Verona - Arrival in Verona and transfer to your Hotel centrally located in Verona and a center for your excursions, visits and the opera.
  2. Day 2 Venice - After breakfast in your hotel a full day visit to Venice. More than 20 million tourists visit this place every year and is on every tourist's wish list. The guide will take you along the Grand Canal, San Marco Square, San Marco Basilica, the Dogen Palace, the Bridge of Sighs, the famous Rialto Bridge and the enthusiasts can of course optionally add a gondola ride. So much to see and yet some free time to pick up a terrace.
  3. Day 3 Verona - Ideal day to visit the picturesque city of Verona itself extensively. Verona that revives the past, from Romans to Renaissance. Stroll through the city with sights the Piazza Bra, the Casa di Giulietta with the famous Juliet Capulet balcony, the Piazza delle Erbe with its Pallazo Maffei, the 84m high Torre dei Lamberti and its beautiful view and finally the Arche Scaligeri, a group of five Gothic funerary monuments. The Verona Opera Festival is world famous. Indeed, this festival has a well-preserved Roman amphitheater as a decor, and its acoustics have been unmatched for centuries! The Verona Arena is a less energetic version of the Colosseum. The arena was in 30 AD built just outside the city's city walls as a stadium for the "ludi" (games) with which the Roman government kept the people happy. The arena is remarkably intact. Despite the lack of a roof and the absence of the old outer wall, the arena provides perfect sound for almost every seat. By 21 o'clock you start the old classic version of the opera.
  4. Day 4 Garda - Today a full day trip to the famous Lake Garda. It is above all a beautiful and sunny mountain lake, the largest of northern Italy.The water is azure andextremely clear. Around the lake, especially oleanders, magnolias, lemon trees, cypresses and olive trees. The old towns on the banks are really typical of this area. The most famous are Riva del Garda and Sirmione. With their narrow alleyways and charming terraces, they form a lovely attraction for many tourists.

    Experiences

    1. The day of arrival includes transfer from Venice airport by watertaxi to the hotel, after which we expect our guests will only need to relax.
    2. Second day will be dedicated to a morning private boat cruise to the islands of Murano and Burano, accompanied by Chiara to watch local artisans. We will book lunch and a watertaxi back to the hotel for you.
    3. Third day is a full day: morning with our guide in Piazza San Marco and to the Doge's Palace, some rest at lunchtime and then it will be time for aperitivo at local Bacari (wine bars) with Chiara
    4. OPTIONAL EXTRA: a one hour watertaxi cruise along the Grand Canal, or Discover the hidden Venice, with a chance to visit a Carnival luxury atelier and try on the traditional cloaks and costumes

      Program:
    1. Day 1 Taormina - Arrival and transfer to the city of Taormina where you will spend the first three nights. Taormina is the oldest tourist site in Sicily and is also called the 'Pearl of Sicily' with a beautiful view of the Ionian Sea. You can not miss the famous and beautifully located theater. Centuries ago, there were already spectacles, with the background of the glory of the Mediterranean and the mighty, ever-smoking Etna volcano. The extraordinary photogenic Taormina gives you amazing views from the main street and offers a wealth of flowers.
    2. Day 2 Taormina - Visit the remarkable town of Savoca for a mafia walk on The Godfather's film location including the famous Vitelli bar and the church where the marriage took place between Michael and Apolonia. Castelmola is one of Italy's most beautiful villages and is still higher than Taormina with a magnificent view of Giardini Naxos and Mount Etna. After midday you will visit Taormina's famous Greek-Roman theater and enjoy a walk along the promenade and in the old town.
    3. Day 3 Taormina - Today, you reach the Etna volcano, which is 3323 meters high. The bus runs to an altitude of 1,900 m. For those who wish, optional cableway and jeep can go up to about 3,000 m altitude. The still active Etna is the highest mountain of Sicily and is a biotope of indigenous plants surrounded by ancient lava flows and dead craters. In the late afternoon a photo shoot with some free time on the Alcantara gorge.
    4. Day 4 Cefalù - After breakfast, the long drive of Cefalù is about 250 km. This is a historic fishing village with narrow streets and beautiful sandy beaches. On the top of La Rocca are the remains of the Temple of Diana, one of the oldest historical remains in Sicily, and the ruins of a castle from the time of the Norwegians. From the top of the rock, of course you have a magnificent view of the city, the cathedral, the Madonie mountains and the sea.
    5. Day 5 Monreale - Palermo - In the morning you will visit Monreale. A place with Byzantine, Arab and even Baroque monuments. Also, the cathedral and the monastery with beautifully decorated cloisters are worth the effort. And then you arrive in the capital of Palermo with a visit to the world-famous catacombs of the Capuchins convent. Afterwards, explore the old city center with Piazza Pretoria, the Arabian-style cathedral and the Norman Palace. Leisure in the authentic Vucciria district.
    6. Day 6 Favignana - Marsala - The trip continues to Trapani from where you will take a boat trip to the most beautiful Egadian island. Favignana is quite common and famous for traditional tuna catch. From the ancient Roman 'Aegusa', many archaeological discoveries from prehistoric history have been preserved and preserved from the Punic times. Continue to Marsala.

    9. Day 9 Piazza Armerina – Caltagirone Pleasant visit to the town of Piazza Armerina with the Romana del Casale villa with 6,000 m2 of mosaic floors with the famous 'bikinigirls'. Further to Caltagirone, famous for its ceramics and the famous Scala di St. Maria del Monte with as many as 142 tiled steps.
    10. Day 10 Noto - Syracuse Beautiful ride to the wonderful Baroque town of Noto, which is entirely Unesco World Heritage Site.     Discover the bay of Naples and its Amalfi Coast

      South of Naples lies the peninsula Sorrento with the same name of the city of Sorrento, on the north side, one of the most well-placed seaside resorts in Italy. The peninsula is picturesque located in the middle of the plantations range of lemons and of olive groves, in the Gulf of Naples. It's a lovely place to enjoy sun,sea and 'La Dolce Vita'. Enjoy the beautiful panoramas of the rocks rising high from the sea. Your stay nearby Sorrento will be interchanged with wonderful day excursions to Amalfi and Capri, the pearls of the trip, with Naples and Pompeii.

    1. Day 1 Sorrento - Arrival at Sorrento. Accommodation in your hotel.

It will be a real journey to the ancient civilization that was lost after the terrible burst of Vesuvius in 79 A.D. Later the afternoon focuses on the Vesuvius itself. By bus you reach the Parco Nazionale del Vesuvio. You may climb the volcano on your own or enjoy a tour in one of the biggest winery of the area, located at the base of the Vesuvio while enjoying the majestic view of the wide Gulf of Naples.
    4. Day 4 Capri - From Castellammare by boat to Capri, so often chased for its beautiful nature, the Blue Cave. By minibus uphill to Anacapri, where you will see and visit the famous Villa San Michele of Axel Munthe. Return to Capri and visit the Augustus Gardens and stop at the famous Piazzetta before you return back.
    5. Day 5 Caserta - The beautiful Palace of Caserta has about 1200 rooms and is the largest, volume-wise, of all the royal palaces in Europe. The garden behind the rear palace façade stretches on for 120 hectares, with a series of artificial fountains and small cascades extending most of the way and ending with a waterfall. Sculptures depicting mythological or religious figures adorn the fountains, like the Fountain of the Three Dolphins, Aeolus’ Fountain, and the Fountain of Diana and Acteon. Unique!
    6. Day 6 Paestum - Today visit of Paestum, one of the main archaeological sites of Italy. Paestum was founded by Greeks around 600 B.C. Originally called Poseidonia, dedicated to Poseidon (The Roman Neptune), the God of the Sea. The remains are now part of the National Park Cilento. The three well-preserved temples in Dorian style are located within the almost five-kilometer-long city wall. Admire the Basilica, the Temple of Poseidon and the photogenic temple of Athens. Today is also included a light unch during a nice visit to a mozzarella farm.
    7. Day 7 Amalfi Coast - An unforgettable ride high against the mountain edge along the most beautiful coast of Italy. Spectacular descent to Positano for one photostop and then to the white Amalfi, where the houses cling to the mountain in floors, opposite the river sea. Romantic walk through the city along numerous streets, stairs, and covered passages. Later visit the breathtaking Ravello, that seems to float between heaven and the sea.     3. Day 3: Egyptian Museum and visit of "Baratti e Milano" - Next to the Egyptian Museum in Cairo, it is the only one worldwide, exclusively turned to Egyptian art.     4. Day 4: Venaria Reale - Alba - After breakfast, not far from Turin, you reach Venaria Reale, certainly one of the largest and most beautiful Savoy residences. Imposing, sumptuous, Venaria Reale has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1997. During the panoramic way to Alba, around the area of production of the famous Barolo wine, enjoy the views over the so called "Langhe" hills that become a UNESCO site for the beauty and for the historical value of the landscape. Arrival at Alba, the capital of the Langhe, check in at the Hotel. A typical dinner could not be missed.
    5. Day 5: Alba – the home of the truffle - Alba is well known for the typical white truffle, and because of the very high cost, it is considered as a precious diamond. Visit the historical center of the Middle Ages of Alba, discovering the “100 towers” and the curiosity of the city, admiring the skyline from some scenic points. Visit first Piazza del Risorgimento – the Heart of the city - with the town hall and the Cathedral of San Lorenzo. Next to San Lorenzo statue, visit the cathedral with its original bell from the 12th century. Feel like in the Middle Ages strolling through the arcades of Via Cavour. Continuing the journey to Langhe and Roero, you reach Bra with the train. Walk through the streets and the alleys of the city, from outside to the town hall, admire the baroque Church Sant'Andrea and the Palazzo Traversa with its Civic Museum of Archeology History Art. Bra is also the world headquarters of the organization Slow food, an organization that promotes local food and traditional cooking. Return to Alba, the heart of the Langhe region, Italy's premier wine region. It is a superb place to eat and it's not for nothing that it is known as the gourmet capital of Piedmont. Taste the typical specialties with a glass of wine!
    6. Day 6: Asti and the hills of Monferrato - After breakfast, you will discover the city of Asti, the capital of the Monferrato. While driving through the Basso Monferrato enjoy the sight of the rolling hills, vineyards, castles, villages and farms, abbeys and charming Romanesque Churches. Once in Asti, famous for its unique identity, full of history and culture, visit the cathedral with the bell tower, the Rotunda of San Pietro, the collegiate Church San Seconda and the birthplace of the poet Vittorio Alifieri. Asti is also famous for its Moscato and Spumante wines. Visit the wine making process rooms and the cellars used for the aging and taste the famous "Moscato d'Asti". Then drive back to Alba.
    7. Day 7: Panoramic drive through the Langhe Area - A highlight awaits you today - a tour through the hilly and panoramic Langhe area, surrounded by several idyllic Towns as Castiglione Falletto, Monforte d'Alba, La Morra with its splendid Panoramic view over Barolo and finally drive to Verduno and of course you will have enough time for one or more photo stops In Barolo you visit the famous Castello Falletti and may smell and taste afterwards in an Enoteca, why the piedmont wine has really earned its good reputation. On return to Alba visit the Castle Grinzane Cavour, the former Residence of Count Camillo Benso. Visit the apartments of the count and the Ethnographic museum. The castle offers moreover the first regional Enoteca of Piedmont, where you can also acquire the world-well-known Barolo wine of course. Taste of the culinary highlights of this journey with a uniquely exquisite dinner in a typical restaurant.

    Discover Northern Italy and its Lakes

      You will discover Northern Italy and its landscapes, starting from Milan fashion and its art, continuing during a cruise across Lake Como to Bellagio and a boat ride to Isola Bella on Lake Maggiore and finally to Orta Lake, one of the smaller of the sub-alpine northern Italian lakes. Art, culture, cities and the Italian Lakes!
      Program :
    1. Day 1: Milan - Arrival in Milan, the city of fashion, finance and great cultural treasures. The rest of the day is free for you to get acquainted with this fashionable city.
    2. Day 2: Milan - Visit the Convent of Santa Maria delle Grazie to take in Leonardo da Vinci's mural The Last Supper, which he painted on the refectory wall at the request of his patron, Ludovico Sforza, Duke of Milan. Continue on to magnificent Castello Sforzesco which houses Michelangelo's last unfinished masterwork, the Rondanini Pieta. Later, admire the Duomo, the great Cathedral of Milan, a striking example of Gothic architecture, and the impressive Galleria Vittorio Emanuele. After a short walking tour, view works by Raphael, Bellini and other great Italian masters at Pinacoteca di Brera; the rest of the day is free to explore what interests you most.
    3. Day 3: Lake Como - Today you will admire the beautiful Lake Como with its breathtaking views. The lake is surrounded by some seriously beautiful villages. Think colourful buildings, gothic architecture, cobbled streets and striking landmarks nestled throughout. In Tremezzo, discover Villa Carlotta, known for its lovely setting and splendid 17th-century gardens decorated with sculptures, stairways and fountains. A private boat ride across the lake to Bellagio reveals the grand villas of the rich and famous.
    4. Day 4: Lake Maggiore and Isola Bella - From Stresa you reach by boat the barroque Isola Bella on Lake Maggiore and the exquisite Villa Borromeo on the tiny, private island. Count Vataliano Borromeo began the construction of this opulent Baroque palace and its splendid gardens in 1632. A guided tour of the ornate family home showcases priceless works of art, tapestries and furniture in an elegant and sumptuous setting. Have lunch on Isola Pescatori, then return to lovely Stresa.
    5. Day 5: Lake Orta - It is one of the smaller of the sub-alpine northern Italian lakes, just 8 miles long and a mile wide. Lesser known and quieter, though in no way lacking in charm nor a fascinating history, Orta has been a favorite of writers as Balzac, poets as Browning and philosophers as Nietzsche. First you reach Orta San Giulio, the most populated of the few settlements around the lake. A boat will take you to the enchanting Isola San Giulio. A wander around this picturesque tiny island, ringed by lovely palaces and draping wisteria vines, will lead us to the beautiful and interesting 12thcentury Romanesque basilica.
    6. Day 6: Departure - After breakfast you can still enjoy some free time, depending on the departure time. Transfer to the airport for the return flight home and end of a lot enchanting travel.
