Lake Como, in Northern Italy’s Lombardy region, is an upscale resort area known for its dramatic scenery, set against the foothills of the Alps. The lake is shaped like an upside-down Y, with three slender branches that meet at the resort town of Bellagio. At the bottom of the southwest branch lies the city of Como, home to Renaissance architecture and a funicular that travels up to the mountain town of Brunate.

- During this full day small group tour for max 11 participants, you will meet your tour guide in Como and take a minivan transfer to Tremezzo.
- Here you will take a guided tour to Villa Carlotta and its amazing art collection including beautiful sculptures by Canova, followed by a walk in the colorful and astounding botanical gardens of the villa.
- You will then take a 1 hour cruise on a private open-top Venetian watertaxi, touring the coast from Tremezzo down to lenno, to admire Villa del Balbianello from the water circumnavigate island Comacina. Then we will slowly cruise along the opposite coast to reach the botanical gardens of Villa Melzi and finally Bellagio.
- Here your guide will give you a discovery tour of the old town and will give you some free time for lunch, not before suggesting the best restaurants and cafes in the area.
- Mid afternoon you will board our open – top watertaxi to take an amazing cruise down the western branch of the lake to reach Como. The cruise will give you the chance to relax admiring the spectacular mountains and the stunning villas, once the homes of aristocrats, now the playground for the jet set Your guide shall be there to enhance the experience with the description of the villas and of the villages you shall encounter.
Experiences
- The day of arrival includes transfer from Malpensa airport, after which we expect our guests will only need to relax and enjoy the SPA (to be booked as an extra).
- Second day will be dedicated to a long private boat cruise with a stop at Villa del Balbianello and afternoon in Bellagio, accompanied by one of our guides..
- Third day we suggest a lighter trip: a half day in Varenna for our olive oil tasting at the producer and a walk in this beautiful town. The trip will be by watertaxi and with a guide
- On the last day we plan to stop in Como to explore the old town and enjoy some food stops, on the way to the next stop.
OPTIONAL EXTRA: one of our pearls: our full day trip to Valtellina, a must to for wine lovers. Coupled with the Red Glaciers train to St Moritz.
