BILBAO – SAN SEBASTIAN – GETARIA - HONDARRIBIA

We have designed this trip thinking about customers looking more for cultural and gastronomic aspects, as well as lovers of an easy going concept. All the different scenarios we will visit while staying around San Sebastian, are joined by a common culture and local language called Euskera / Basque. Charming and authentic hotels, various gastronomic experiences, winery traditions, peaceful scenarios are some of the aspects to be recreated. Be sure that cooking lovers will get back home with a new secret.

Day 1 – Bilbao

Welcome to Bilbao airport, meeting local guide. Transfer to the financial and cultural capital of the Basque Country – Bilbao. We start the day with a private guided visit to the amazing Guggenheim Museum. Relax and stretch your body after such a long flying trip. Once you finish with the visit, a 70 min. transfer will take you to the city of San Sebatian. Night at Lasala Plaza Hotel ****, Hotel Londres ****, or similar in San Sebastian.

Day 2 – San Sebastian

Here you are in the beautiful city of San Sebastian. After breakfast, we go for a walk around the old town visiting the market, tasting part of the Basque culture enjoying daily life. You will also a have pintxos experience tasting different specialities from different bars, while getting with locals. Night at Lasala Plaza Hotel ****, Hotel Londres ****, or similar in San Sebastian.

Day 3 – Getaria

This morning, you visit the western area of San Sebastian a long the coast. We go to the coastal village of Getaria where history, tradition and future mix together. Elkano and Balenciaga are two sysmbols of this location, where you can have great views of the coast line. You will also visit a txakoli; local wine winery, having a tasting experience with some local products A grilled fish by the harbour is a must here!Night at Lasala Plaza Hotel ****, Hotel Londres****, or similar in San Sebastian.

Day 4 – Hondarribia

This morning we go east visiting the charming village of Pasajes San Juan located in a narrow bay. After knowing about the Basque and their relation with cider and the sea, we drive through the mountains in order to have a good view of the border with France before arriving to Hondarribia. Hondarribia is a pleasant and wealthy town with a great Parador; old castle from Xth century, for tonight. Night at Parador de Hondarribia ****

Day 5 – Bilbao

We have breakfast, we prepare our luggage and a short drive to Bilbao´s airport for departure. We hope you had a great time among us.
